The Society for Dance Research presents a new series of events entitled Dance Dialogues, providing unique and stimulating opportunities for dance researchers and practitioners to engage in lively discussions, debates and sharings.

Initiated and organised by Jane Carr (Principal Lecturer in Dance, University of Bedfordshire), this inaugural event is a chance to find out about the developing archive at Black Cultural Archives and to view some of the newly deposited dance related materials from the Black Dance Archives Project and to meet others interested in the contributions of artists from the African diaspora to dance in the UK.

We will be able to look at items from the collection related to the development of Black British dance in the later Twentieth Century including materials related to the work of Adzido and Nubian Steps.

Please note there are two time slots for entry:
4pm-5:30pm OR 5:30pm-7pm
Places are FREE, bookings via Eventbrite.
Please meet Jane at the café at the entrance.

More information is available at the BCA website: www.bcaheritage.org.uk

Places are limited due to the workings of the archive. Please note you will need to leave coats and bags at reception so travel light if you can.
