Eight invited speakers from a range of disciplines, whose research centred on the body and performance (dance, music, fashion, theatre, sociology), gave illustrated and in some cases, performance based presentations of their research.
The symposium was sponsored by the newly established research Centre on the Body and Performance in conjunction with the Society for Dance Research and the Department of Sociology, Goldsmiths College.
